REM’s Tips for Sellers...
OUTSIDE
- Clean All Windows.
- Clear any cobwebs.
- Make sure all exterior lights are working.
- Unclog and clear all gutters.
- Clean the pool so it sparkles.
- Clean the garage and garden shed.
- Remove any rubbish.
- Remove oil stains from driveway and parking area.
- Weed and mulch the garden beds.
- Mulch garden beds.
- Remove any dead plants from the garden.
- Place some flowering pot plants and hanging baskets around.
- Trim any bushes that over hang paths or reduce light into the
house.
- Trim and mow the lawns.
INSIDE
- Make sure that things are put away, so the home doesn't have a
cluttered look.
- Dust light fittings, louvres, skirting boards, etc.
- Clear away any cob webs.
- Clean any marks from walls, doors and light switches.
- Check all light fittings work and replace globes where necessary.
- Check oven and stove top are clean as most purchasers look at
both.
- Repair any leaking taps.
- Pleasant smells can help, percolated coffee, fresh bread, or fresh
flowers help to add to the atmosphere.
- Allow as much light as possible to create a warm and cheerful
atmosphere or turn on lights to brighten a room.
- Remove any washing from the line and put away.
